Bianca Rodriguez began dancing Spanish classical/ballet at the age of three in Laredo, Texas. She graduated with a degree in dance with emphasis in flamenco from the University of New Mexico, where Bianca was fortunate to perform with top artists like Juan Siddi, Keka Villar, Silverio Heredia, Yjastros, Antonio Granjero, Roberto Lorente, and Chuscales. She has also studied extensively in Spain with many of the world’s most renowned flamenco dancers. Under the direction of Carola Zertuche’s Theatre Flamenco, she worked with artists Juana la del Pipa, Adela Campallo, Carmen Ledezma, and Pastora Galvan. Her most esteemed moment has been dancing in Antonio Rey’s Dos Partes de Mi. Rodriguez has performed all over the U.S., including with companies like Flamenco Vivo and Theatre Flamenco, and as a soloist in LA’s Fountain Theatre, SF’s Brava Theatre, Herbst Theatre, and tablaos in Spain. She currently teaches in Berkeley, CA, and performs regularly with local and visiting artists. A’lante Flamenco is proud to host Bianca at Agustito!

covid precautions

Hey Folks, the last 18+ months have been pretty rough, so help us get back to performing for you by observing these simple, common sense COVID precautions:

-Please don’t come if you feel ill, experience any Covid-like symptoms (including cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, etc.) or know that you’ve recently been exposed to someone with Covid or any of its variants.

-Wear a mask! Masks will be required of all patrons. If you don’t have a mask, please ask and we’ll provide you with one!

-Certify that you have either been vaccinated against Covid or have recently (within the last week) tested negative for Covid 19.

-We will be limiting capacity for this show. Please be courteous and don’t get too close to people who are not part of your household or party!

Location

“Agustito” takes place at Flamencura Music and Dance Studio, 8910 Research Suite D3 .  Look for the big red and white polka dot “Flamencura” sign, and enter into the parking lot after PinBallz. Continue all the way up the drive and take a right at the next parking lot. We’re at the far end, near the Kung Fu/Tai Chi school. The parking lot has only one entrance so if you miss it, just take the first turn around under 183 and try again.
